Define Hacker

I accept yet despise that hacker now means what cracker used to mean. No longer just a seeker of knowledge but someone that exploits past the breaking point.

To me:

• Hacking is relentlessly wanting to know more about how a thing works.

• Hacking is making things designed to do one thing, do another.

• Hackers like to see how things work; how to break them and fix them. It comes from a place of always wanting to keep digging, desiring to know more.
